Halloweenie Day

Friday the 13th! You just have to admit-a great day to get in the Halloween spirit! At the Magical Holiday Home Forums we celebrate Great Pumpkin Day on either The 13th or the 31st of each month to get ready for Halloween. I like to celebrate both if possible so I'm nicknaming the 13th Halloweenie Day to keep it straight in my own head!
We brought DS7 home from hospital today so didn't really get anything accomplished for halloween, but I read a great book!

I loved it! And it looks like she has another one out this month-

Today I posted steps one through seven of my Halloween banner. I'll post further steps tomorrow! Happy Great Pumpkin Day!

Today I'm finally getting around to posting a bit about my Halloween memories Banner.
Let's jump right into it, shall we?

STEP ONE:

Choose your pictures. For this project they should be Halloween themed. My banner will be visible from both sides-so I will need two pictures for each piece of the banner, one for each side.
STEP TWO:
Print your pictures. I printed them at home on my printer with a sepia setting, on photo paper, but you could get them done somewhere for you. That just takes time-and I'm not very patient!
STEP THREE:
Tear your photos so they will fit a triangular shape. Tear them so more white paper shows in front.
STEP FOUR:
Using a brown or black ink pad, and a small sponge, ink the white edges of your photos.
STEP FIVE:
Pick a color scheme- go gothic or more fun-totally personal preference!
STEP SIX:
Next I made a triangular template from cardboard. Mine is 6" across the top and 8" down each side.
STEP SEVEN:
Now use your template to cut several triangles from your patterned paper or colored cardstock.
