Fuzzy Spiders!

These are the lollipop spiders we did last week. We got all the supplies at the local dollar store!

We just twisted the pipe cleaners around the stem of the lollipop and bent knees and feet into them, Then we glued on some googly eyes and Voila! Sweet spiders!

Witches Wing-Ding

The plans are in the works-this year it's going to be held at my cousin(and friend's) big Dutch colonial style house. It's a girls night in with witch's costumes! An after supper appetizer/drinks fun time! We decided on e-invitations from smilebox. I can't wait to see how the spell unfolds...

LTD Harvest catalog is available; although I've never ordered anything, I thought these wee pretty cool! If I ever decide to try papier mache, these could inspire some cool ideas!

I found these on sale at Winners and thought they might help me get some 'Boo'ing done this Halloween! Now I'm on the lookout for a great popcorn recipe!

Ooops!

Just a word to the wise-use good quality sandwich bags or small freezer bags to decorate your cookies! The sides popped out of not one but two bags as I was piping the spirals on our spiderweb cookies! LOL! They just became chocolate blob cookies-just as tasty! However, I'm glad it wasn't really Halloween and these needed to be done!

A Great Pumpkin Day in May!

I really want a pumpkin patch!! It's not really priority with everything else going on here! But...

I planted sunflowers and the crows ate them! I think if I arch some chicken wire over them they won't be able to get to them. It will also keep the cats out of the bed! I'll see if DH can pick some up for me. Here's a helpful video from youtube.

What I need to get started
  • compost
  • seeds
  • chickenwire

I'd love to have a rototiller, but it's going to have to be womanpower!

Though the eerie night is past, the memories will last and last!

I hope everyone's Halloween was fantastic! we had a busy but fun time with the kids in the afternoon and then they went Trick or Treating with Dad. I stayed home to give out treats but we only had seven kids! Oh well! Maybe more next year!

The award for best treat goes to... these little cuties!

I don't know who did these but what a cute way to decorate your wrapped mints! Some people might say you have too much time on your hands(whoever you are) But I say "Bravo!"

Keep an eye on "Warmth of the stable" to see how I transform these Halloween treat packages! Coming in the next week...
